Greenpower Mobility: What's New? No One Has Discussed

Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower creates manufactures and distributes the entire range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. This includes transit buses as well as school buses as well as cargo buses and shuttles.

EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle with a high degree of personalization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant.  green power mobility scooter reviews  provides a wide range of options, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery configurations.

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles, which include high-floor and lower-floor models. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their most popular vehicle and can be adapted to suit a wide range of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clear sheet of paper, which allows for the best placement of the battery pack and a lower center-of-gravity. This results in better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery and catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated trucks have a single interior wall structure, and higher insulation than conventional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer service life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior cargo capacity and an industry-leading payload to allow for zero emission transport of passengers or goods.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to quickly transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We had the chance to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway and found it easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth on ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does an excellent job of suppressing road noise and wind on the highway. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes that permit "one-pedal driving" simply by taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 offers a great range and can be charged in just three hours or less at home, or by using any commercial charger. Drivers can select between two operating modes including eco mode and sports mode. The eco mode is a preference for the cruise control and torque while the sport mode increases speed and handling. Both modes are fun to drive, and offer an experience unlike any other for those who have never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, including a multi-purpose electric mini bus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit, transit bus, vanpool, or a paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify schools across the nation, GreenPower plans on ramping up production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. This means they will be eligible for federal transit assistance grants. Keep an eye on us for updates as we follow the AV Star on its demonstration tour later this year. We will share more details on this amazing electric vehicle!
